AV Build-Out Underway for State Street's New London HQ
Verrex Integrated Project Brings Ambitious Audiovisual Systems Archetype to Canary Wharf
MOUNTAINSIDE, New Jersey USA / February 9, 2009 / –- Verrex Corporation, a leading videoconference, telepresence, digital signage and audiovisual integration firm serving clients in the Americas and Europe, announced the company is on target to complete the audiovisual build-out of State Street’s new London headquarters at 20 Churchill Place at Canary Wharf. The multi-floor, multi-room project, led by Verrex Limited, is slated for completion by May 2009 in preparation for full occupation by State Street. The build-out is one part of State Street’s commitment to utilize Verrex for all their European office AV requirements, including integration, on-site staffing and service. Sited prominently at Canary Wharf, the newly constructed headquarters with approximately 300,000 sq. ft. of office space will consolidate State Street’s Royal Exchange, St. James Square and Canada Square offices into one location.

The State Street Canary Wharf project consists of over 50 presentation and collaborative communication spaces including: large divisible auditorium featuring videoconferencing, recording and building-wide broadcast capabilities; multiple videoconference and training rooms; trading floor; common areas and office amenities; IT monitoring room; divisible, multipurpose conference rooms; and building-wide TV distribution system. The project has required collaboration from all areas of Verrex expertise: design engineering, project management, fabrication, control systems programming and installation.
Verrex has a long history with the financial services firm. In 2003, Verrex completed the AV build-out of State Street’s 36-story Financial Center, the signature gateway to Boston’s Financial District. The sprawling six month project required creative planning, project management, subcontractor coordination, integration, on-site staffing and service solutions. Verrex continues to integrate audiovisual systems, provide on-site staffing and/or service for State Street worldwide including: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Poland and India.
