Newsroom : Verrex Hosts Bring Your Child to Work Day

MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ USA / April 21, 2010 / -- Verrex, a provider of global conferencing and communication solutions, will host “Bring Your Child to Work Day” Thursday April 22nd at its Corporate and New England locations.

Supporting Verrex’s family-centric culture, the day will focus on educating children on the importance of a good career path, strengthening the relationships between children and their parent and provide a glimpse into the rising field of video conferencing. Activities will include an introduction by Verrex President and CEO, Thomas Berry, Jr., the “Verrex Bring Your Child to Work Day Training Program” and an “Earth Day Walk”.

“The ‘Verrex Family’ is something we constantly emphasize and this includes not just our employees”, said Mr. Berry. “Offering a program such as this not only places an emphasis on the family, but also helps contribute to the development of the dreams and goals of our children”.

The “Verrex Bring Your Child to Work Day Training Program” is an interactive facility tour designed to get children excited about a career and to give them a better understanding of what their parents do. Children will be asked to share what they think their parents do at work, followed by a seven stop tour that will actually show them. The tour will take them to various departments including sales, fabrication and design and engineering to learn what each department is responsible for and how it contributes to the end product. The tour will end in Verrex’s state-of-the-art conference room, where children will interactively launch and participate in a live video conference call. Children will also be taken on an “Earth Day Walk”, which will focus on community clean up. At the end of the day, children will be given a certificate of completion and a framed picture with their parent.
