State StreetDublin Headquarters - Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin, Ireland

Financial services provider, State Street’s, new Dublin HQ at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in the city’s south docklands area, required AV fit out for the 165,000 sq. ft. facility inline with the
firm’s established audiovisual system standards. State Street selected Verrex for systems design, engineering, control system programming, construction coordination and commissioning.
Verrex also worked with London-based Gensler Architects for architectural coordination.
The nine floor, multi-system project included six single-display conference rooms, four dual-display conference rooms with videoconference capabilities, eight training rooms, record room
with specialty-themed, interactive exhibit, ten common areas, sixteen spaces integrated with Crestron’s Room View and cable television distribution system
CHALLENGES
State Street’s new Dublin site is central to the firm’s expanded securities finance operations in Ireland. Based on the project’s mission-critical importance, the
company required strict adherence to the standards successfully set and utilized at the company’s global AV archetype, State Street’s Financial Center in Boston, Massachusetts and London head-
quarters at Canary Wharf.
SOLUTION
As the AV architect of State Street’s conferencing, collaboration and presentation technology models in Boston, London and other key locations, Verrex was engaged in a variety of roles
including design consultant, project manager and technical integration supervisor. Verrex was then able to assume full responsibility for successful completion of the Dublin build-out
aligned with State Street’s global vision for AV utilization.
State Street also utilized custom room templates from Verrex. These templates, used in State Street offices around the globe, were developed by Verrex specific to criteria from State Street’s
Corporate Audiovisual Services management team. This ensured time and budget-critical integration of common room types in the Dublin facility following established and proven display, source,
audio, video, conferencing and control system standards.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Audiovisual systems in the 7th floor dual-display conference room allow for presentations, audioconferencing and high-definition videoconferencing. The wall-mounted dual 50” LCDs display computer and video signals
from a variety of sources. There are two computer sources: a dedicated computer housed in the credenza and a connection for portable laptops housed in the conference room table. The system
also allows for display of cable television channels. HD codec and camera provide videoconferencing capabilities, along with table-mounted boundary microphones.
Program audio is broadcast viahigh performance, ceiling-recessed loudspeakers. A 10” custom-programmed touchpanel controlsaudio and video in the space.
The Records Room features a high-tech exhibit showcasing State Street’s corporate history. The exhibit, an eye-catching high-resolution video wall, consists of four flat panel displays
mounted horizontally. Designed without bezels, the LCDs form a seamless presentation. Content for the exhibit, created by State Street, is driven by a rack-mounted video wall processor.
Corresponding program audio is broadcast over ceiling-recessed loudspeakers and a touchpanel kiosk interface controls the entire system.
