Design Capabilities
Design Process
Verrex innovative system designs are guided by client need,
application, room layout, infrastructure and other factors that
can affect performance and user experience. Proper and
precise design translates into fewer change orders, fewer
missed details and fewer corresponding budget overages. Our
certified Design group, including CAD specialists, focuses
solely on a phased-approach that includes needs analysis,
design development and construction documentation.
Needs Analysis
Verrex thinks in broad terms of overall requirements,
applications, technology planning, corporate culture and
support infrastructure to recommend optimal solutions to suit
a client’s immediate, mid and long term needs. Through a
comprehensive process of client interviews, analysis and
refinement, Verrex identifies user requirements, facility
strictures, room usage and a range of capabilities and
technologies the space should accommodate. The team then
conceptualizes what and how these systems should be
properly integrated. Schematic plans are developed and
continue to be refined to incorporate client feedback. Verrex
Design also provides an initial budget, at this early stage, for
systems integration and continues to revise this budget in
terms of functionality and application requirements.
Architectural Design Input
Integration of AV and conferencing technologies into built
environments can profoundly impact architectural design and
architectural parameters can equally impact system’s
performance. To ensure the technology is integrated
seamlessly and aesthetically requires a distinctive skill set
and ability to add value in solving these challenges. Unique to
the industry, clients recognize Verrex expertise and training to
provide design leadership to their architect team including a
phased approach in-line with architectural-based design
processes and schedules. Verrex architectural coordination,
in order to accommodate the technology, includes ceiling
elements, electrical and telecom connectivity, wall and floor
elements, conduit, millwork and structural support.
Environmental Control
Verrex coordinates with lighting designers and electrical
engineers during the Design phase to ensure optimum lighting
for displayed images, videoconferencing and participant
interaction. Subsequently Verrex prepares diagrams integrating
environmental controls – lights, screens and drapes – into the
overall technology system.
Preliminary Equipment Selection
Our clients benefit from Verrex’s commitment of “manufacturer
agnostic”. This ensures specific application needs are met with
the most appropriate and best quality equipment available
based on functional performance. Clients receive initial
recommendations for components based on day one needs.
